Xaverian High School is a private, all-male, college-preparatory school located in Brooklyn, New York. The school was founded in 1957 by the Xaverian Brothers.[1] The school is a member of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA). Xaverian is governed by a President and Board of Trustees. President Salvatore C. Ferrera has served as President since 1993.

2007 Restructuring

Beginning in July 2007 Xaverian will shift its academic structure from a conventional high school model to a small school governance model administered by a president, provost, and three principals.[2] The provost position is responsible for consolidating academic leadership and facilitating strategic decision-making, financial planning, and management. The positions of Principal of Gifted Programs, Principal of Academy, and Principal of Ryken/Legacy report to the provost.
