Trollbanner

Hi Beguiled -- just wanted to offer my perspective on the banner. My question: having glanced at where I believe the issue arose with you, wouldn't citing to WP:NOT or WP:ATT and then potentially to WP:Troll do the trick in that situation? Trying to make the banner big enough so everybody sees it immediately upon entering the page seems in my view to harm Wikipedia's hospitability. Just my perspective. Talk page comments

Hi Beguiled. I appreciate your speaking well of me, but it would be better to comment only on the content of the page, and not on the people involved. [1] Thanks, Tom Harrison Talk 13:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In fact that is a personal attack and you could get blocked for that. It has been removed.Giovanni33 19:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes...you can make you point without resorting to personal attacks. Arguments are best won by sticking to the facts and not attacking others. Since the facts are that some people want to promote less than sensical notions doesn't mean we have to treat them badly. Consider the possiblility that some of these people might be on medication, suffer from extreme biases or are just easily duped.--MONGO 20:29, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
