Nicholas Alan Bollea (born July 27, 1990) also known as Nick Hogan, is the son of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda Hogan, and the younger brother of singer Brooke Hogan. He is one of the stars of the reality show Hogan Knows Best and lives with his parents in Miami Beach, Florida. He has expressed interest in acting, wrestling, and motorsports careers.

Motorsports

Nick earned a Formula D competition license in 2006[1]. Despite this, Nick is not listed in Formula D's Professional Championship standings for 2007[2] or 2006[3], is not a member of any of the teams participating in Formula D's Team Drift Series[4], and is not in the current list of Formula D drivers[5]. Nick was briefly signed to Dodge, but company spokesman Todd Goyer said that he "is not a Dodge driver or a Mopar driver", and that his relationship with Dodge/Mopar ended two months prior to his 2007 crash.[6]

Vehicle incidents

Lamborghini fire

In 2006, Nick was driving a yellow 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT owned by Cecile Barker (chairman of SoBe Entertainment, the record label attached to his sister) when it caught on fire. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesman Paul Perry said "It was a normal car fire. It happens a bunch of times every day and nobody notices." [7][2]

Supra crash

Hogan was involved in a serious accident in Clearwater, Florida on the evening of August 26, 2007 at around 7:31pm ET[3]. The single vehicle crash happened at Court St. & Missouri Ave near Downtown Clearwater. WTSP reported that there were two occupants in the car, a Toyota Supra, at the time and the vehicle was traveling at a "high rate of speed". [4] (This may have been Nick's personal Toyota Supra which he has said has 1000 hp[8]) Witnesses also claim that he was racing with a silver Dodge Viper but police are stating that there was no racing or drugs involved.[2]

The police stated that the impact of the collision "destroyed the entire car."[2] Hogan and his passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano, sustained injuries said to be "very very serious" and were flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Graziano is a US Marine.[2]

Video of the accident scene[5] shows a concerned Hulk Hogan talking to authorities.

Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge said early Monday that Nick was released from care and is "ok". Graziano, however, remains in the hospital with massive facial injuries.[6]

Prior speeding tickets

Within the first year of obtaining his licence, Nick was ticketed four times and received four points on his licence.[7][8] Those charges included a violation for going 115 mph in a 70 mph zone, 57 mph in a 30 and 106 mph in a 70.[9] The most recent ticket prior to his crash occured on August 10, 2007, when Nick was ticketed after his 1998 Toyota was recorded going 82 mph in a 45 mph construction zone while workers were present.[10]
