Sanjiang (三江; pinyin: Sānjiāng) is a city in northern Guangxi province, China. It is the capital of the Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, a region traditionally inhabited by the Dong people, bordering Guizhou to the northwest and Hunan to the northeast. It is under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Liuzhou.

Tourism

The town of Chengyang, north of Sanjiang toward Hunan province, is becoming a popular tourist destination with backpackers.

20 km north of Sanjiang lies the Dong village Chengyang Chiao. The village is a traditional Dong minority village. The houses are all made of wood. Inside the villages you will find traditional Drum Towers, which were used to announce important things or simply to perform plays to entertain the village people. Crossing the river is the best preserved Wind and Rain Bridge which contains 5 parts. The bridge dates back to the 1920's and is for many people the main reason to visit the village.

North of Chengyang Chiao lies the tiny village of Linxia which is interesting because of the local market. There's no places to stay in Linxia but a taxi from Sanjiang or Chengyang Chaio brings you there easy.
