Carlos Adley (born Sept 20, 1968 in Inglewood, California), more commonly known as Big Daddy Carlos, is a Los Angeles nightlife impresario and owner of the famous Hollywood restaurant and ultra-lounge La Velvet Margarita Cantina.

Big Daddy first made a name for himself in his late teens running the door at David Lee Roths notorious Hollywood after-hours club The Zero. Over the next couple of years he made the jump from promoter to DJ extraordinaire, all the while majoring in communications at Cal State Fullerton on a full athletic football scholarship. By his early twenties Big Daddy had monopolized the Hollywwod after-hours club scene and eventually hit pay-dirt when he brought in casino heir Eddie Harrah and opened the legendary Sweet Daddy Browns private gambling speak-easy. By the early nineties Carlos had earned the reputation as being one of Hollywood's most sought after DJ's and nightlife kingpins (Big Daddy will always credit Matt Dyke of Delicious Vinyl fame and DJ Evil E as his turntable mentors). Around this time Big Daddy decided to forego a promising career in profesional football to pursue his passion for the Hollywood nightlife industry. From the summer of 1994 until 1998, Big Daddy Carlos was the premier DJ and promoter at Johnny Depp's world famous Viper Room. This was also the time of his latest creation... Hollywood's Chickenhawk (1995-2000 MCA, Capitol), the star-studded Rock N' Roll band in which he was the lead singer.

In 2000 Carlos wed renowned nightclub owner and restaurateur Ava Berman and began the F.O.M.M. Corporation. In 2001 The F.O.M.M. Corporation purchased a quarter block of prime real estate in Hollywood in what is now known as the ultra-hip "Cahuenga Corridor". Big Daddy Carlos' property houses La Velvet Margarita Cantina, True Tattoo, Vinyl Fetish and Ashley Paige Designs. Big Daddy recently celebrated La Velvet Margarita Cantinas three-year anniversary as one of the countries top restaurants and cantinas, earning accolades from the NHR's "Who's Who in Restaurants", Newsweek Magazine's "#1 Zagat Rated restaurant in Los Angeles", Los Angeles Magazine's "Top L.A. Hot Spots", KABC-TV "Top Seven in California", Tu Ciudad Magazine's "#1 Tequilla Bar in Los Angeles", and letters of recommendation from Governer Schwarzenegger and Mayor Villaraigosa for outstanding achievement in the Hollywood business community. La Velvet Margarita will soon be opening multiple locations in Las Vegas, Macau, China and launching the Velvet Tequila line in 2008/2009.

Big Daddy is currently in studio negotiations for the semi autobiographical film LAWN KINGS which he will produce with co-writer Patrick Van Horn.
