Nacella kerguelenensis is a southern, cold-water species of limpet, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Patellidae, the true limpets.

Distribution

This true limpet is endemic to Australia's sub-Antarctic Macquarie, Heard, and McDonald islands, and France's Kerguélen Islands.

Shell description

The shell is large, very thin, smooth and noticeably narrowed in front. The shell coloration is dark bronzy-brown, both externally and internally.

The maximum shell length is 80 mm, width 65 mm, and height 33 mm.
