International Surrey Company Ltd. also called "The Surrey Company" is a quadricycle manufacturer based in La Marque, Texas.[1]
The Surrey Company has sold products in all 50 US states and also in 34 other countries.[citation needed]

History
In 1970, several importers brought Surrey bikes into the United States for commercial use in the rental industry. A Houston, Texas company imported the Gitane Rosalie, a uni-frame four-wheel cycle manufactured in France. That same year, Cliff Marshall Imports introduced the Selene Surrey, an Italian-made Surrey with a bolted-together frame, which debuted in Dennisport, Massachusetts as a rental cycle. A few months later, the Surrey Company opened rental locations in Kissimmee, Florida and Galveston, Texas. The Surrey Company's affiliate rental company, Beach Bike Rentals, rented cycles of all types, including the Rosalie and Selene, with great success.[3]

International Surrey Company's team works in close collaboration with operators to design new concept cycles to be used in pilot rental programs. What has evolved is a leisure cycle that today many are using as "green" transportation alternative for short trips to neighborhood stores and schools. A Surrey bike with the newly developed 7 speed transmission is further evolution in ongoing efforts to expand the Surrey bike's use.
