Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose of identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Wikipedia:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===; do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here. Specific evidence of abuse in the form of diffs may be required so as to avoid the impression of fishing for evidence.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

This user has been persistently creating new accounts for the soul purpose of harassment of other editors, and general vandalism. Most of it has been targeted at User:David A but he has been disruptive to a number of other editors as well. Single blocks just aren't cutting it with him and I believe a more wide block is required. Derekloffin (talk) 22:59, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The underlying IP needs a long block; I suspect that he is one of the harassers that Gavin.collins has been having problems with. -Jéské (v^_^v Detarder) 07:28, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Additional information needed Can you give me the names of other harassing accounts? This IP only has 2 edits on it, so if it is the same person he's IP hopping and I need more info to find a range. Thatcher 11:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are no other named accounts; the rest have been IP addresses (each of which have been blocked for 2 weeks apiece as they are one-offs). I can provide you with those IPs, however; I can see the deleted revisions, but I do not know what good it will do as this appears to be an orchestrated attack from off-site. I'm asking for a block on the IP beneath this account (AO ACB) so that he cannot return to do the same when protection ends in five days. -Jéské (v^_^v Detarder) 22:14, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Runtshit

All are sockpuppets of Runtshit (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), who has 424 socks already. This madness must be stopped, and the only way to do this would be to block the IP address. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:07, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CodyFinke

All are obvious sockpuppets to banned user Codyfinke (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) The User at the top of the list was the lastest to get blocked. He appears to find ways to get around the ban. I think an IP block should be done. These IP's below are at the suspected sock page for CodyFinke, I'm not sure if any of these have been used recently by any of these names:

  • 199.224.119.95
  • 199.224.121.165
  • 204.108.198.2 (belongs to Octorara Area School District)

Bobfran

Bobfran (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), who was blocked by me on March 10 as a vandal-only account, created a new account, Bobfran160, earlier today. Almost immediately after I sockblocked that account, a new account, Lego02, blanked Bobfran160's userpage. Somehow this guy is getting around the autoblock--or at the very least is using meatpuppets. Requesting IP check to see if underlying IP can be blocked. Blueboy96 20:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another sock added, Baajtl. Blueboy96 20:50, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

information Note: If this editor is going to be a long term problem, format this as Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Bobfran please. He's evading the block through a public library. I'd rather not block for now, let's see if he goes there again. Other socks, though, Jwri747 (talk · contribs), Zachmurray (talk · contribs) and Verma89 (talk · contribs).
