[edit]Cody has had a permanent block put on his account - Finally. - Jeremy (Jerem43 05:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC))
- It is now 27 September and Cody has failed to respond or stop making the disruptive or unproductive edits as other editors have repeatedly requested. I am upgrading the warning to a level 4 and plan to request that he be permanently blocked next week if he fails to change his behavior. - Jeremy (Jerem43 02:41, 28 September 2007 (UTC))
- It is now 22 September and It appears that Cody took a week off starting on the 16th, however he starting to edit again and appears to be up to his old tricks. His recent contributions appear to be good faith edits but he continues his pattern of unjustified page moves, redundant entries and failing to cite his edits. I am going to monitor his edits and ask that other editors who find issues with his edit note it down. It may have to come down to issuing a level 4 warning. - Jeremy (Jerem43 00:08, 23 September 2007 (UTC))

Record label and record company comparison
[edit]In regards to your edit of the CBS Records article, the sentence is about the record 'label'. The earlier CBS Records label (which operated outside North America and issued records issued in North America on the Columbia label) is now called Columbia Records (except in Japan). The record 'company' is now called Sony/BMG which operates several record labels. Columbia Records' then parent CBS founded the CBS Records label which issued Columbia recordings outside North America. Read the Columbia Records article for more information.Steelbeard1 01:55, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

"What New Yorkers Watch"
[edit]Please stop adding this quote to the WNYW article. This slogan is no longer used on their newscasts, and it also has nothing to do with the meaning of the call letters. the WNYW call sign was a disambiguation of the previous calls, WNEW-TV, which needed to be changed when News Corp. purchased channel 5 in 1986. The slogan "What New Yorkers Watch" was implied to be derived from WNYW in the promos, but it was not the other way around.
Either way, stop adding this incorrect material to the article. Rollosmokes
- Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to WNYW. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. Final warning
[edit]Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Rollosmokes 15:37, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- You continue to make the same incorrect edits to WNYW. You continue to evade discussion on your talk page. I have tried to reach out to you, and with nothing to show for it. You have left me no choice but to seek administrator assistance.
- For the FINAL TIME, the call letters WNYW were solely a disambiguation from the former call letters WNEW-TV. They were not taken from the slogan "What New Yorkers Watch". Twenty years later, the slogan was derived from the call letters, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Please stop adding this incorrect information. Rollosmokes 04:35, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

- I'm hopeful that the handful of improvements I've made to this article will satisfy the immediate concerns while acknowledging that this is an article in need of serious expansion. The simple fact that the single was a Billboard Hot 100 #1 in 1988 should be enough notability. - Dravecky 08:33, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey Codyfinke!
What's going on with WNYW? It looks like you keep re-adding the fact that WNYW stands for "What New Yorkers Watch". The station has had the WNYW call signs since 1986, probably long before the current slogan was created; stations call signs aren't usually assigned based on station slogans. Please remember that any content you add to Wikipedia should be verifiable, and if it can't be verified, it can be removed (and it has been, several times). You can respond here, or on my talk page, or on talk:WNYW. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 09:19, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- And, as I told you, he doesn't respond to messages. He readded the slogan again to WNYW in this edit ([1]), and also readded the incorrect news branding at WABC-TV ([2]). I reverted those changes in both articles for the umpteenth time. Rollosmokes 17:57, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]Hi Codyfinke,
It is with great reluctance that I am blocking your account for 24 hours. It appears that some of the information that you have been adding to television station articles is false or incorrect. Repeated attempts to contact you have failed, and you continue to add this uncited, unverifiable information to the articles in a slow edit war. I can unblock your account, but I need to know that you are willing and able to communicate with other Wikipedia editors in the spirit of collaboration.
You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our polices concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. Notability of First Brands

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Notability of Don Francisco Gourmet Coffee
[edit]A tag has been placed on Don Francisco Gourmet Coffee, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable.
