Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in the Star Wars films, first mentioned in A New Hope. Watching the films in chronological order instead of order of release, Anakin is introduced in The Phantom Menace.
In either The Empire Strikes Back or Revenge of the Sith (depending on viewing order), it is revealed that having fallen to the Dark Side of the Force, Anakin Skywalker has become Darth Vader.
