I've been agonizing for days whether to confront you over this - in the end, I think it's better to tell you than keep silent. Right after I left the AfD message noting your somewhat questionable close, you replied and archived - curiously, your archival was missing my thread. Now, I'm not going to provide any diffs - you know what I'm talking about. Honestly, I don't think AGF could be applied here - there is absolutely no way I can see that it was accidental. It's obvious that you cut-and-pasted; the first edit of the archive did not contain my thread. RyRy, this is very disappointing from you - try to show more integrity in the future. :I'm not absolutely sure which AFD you are speaking about, but I would imagine it was this one: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Varèse Sarabande. If that's the case, then you did withdraw the nomination. Also, if I may quote from Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines, "On your own user talk page, you may remove others' comments, although archiving is generally preferred." It is not against policy to remove comments from other users on your own talk page. Useight (talk) 23:28, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Start Class

Is there some system for promotion to start class? Here's my reason for asking- I accepted a challenge at the AWC to get Blue Riband (biscuits)‎ to start class. I will continue to add, but please let me know. Also, is my reference good? WikiZorro told me what a reference is, but I wanted to check. --LAAFan 13:25, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again, sorry for the delay. Well, there really isn't a "system." To promote an article, you just have to make sure the article meets the next class, if it does, you just have to go to it's talk page and add the next class. But Blue Riband (biscuits) isn't close to being start class yet. Here's an example of a B class article I created: Baseball uniform. That's an article that passess start class. And what do you mean by "is my reference good?" Do you mean the reference in the article that I'm guessing you added? -- RyRy5 (talk) 15:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah, I know it isn't ready yet. I'm still adding. And yes, I do mean the reference on the article.--LAAFan 15:32, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • So my reference is good! That was my first real reference. I tried earlier, but then I got in a scuffle about external links and references......... Anyway, thanks for that and all of the help you give me.--LAAFan 15:39, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For your helpfullness....

    • Sorry to say, but no, you didn't reference it right. Almost. Okay, I fixed it to make it look like this. Well, I made a typo on that one so add this to it. Anyway, the reference itself doesn't go under the referemce section. It goes in the article somewhere. What goes under the references section is Reflist and only Reflist. The reflist (reference list) gets everything [1] to the ref section. Well, just study what I did in the diff. If you ever need help in referencing (I'm good at that ;) ) then just give me a call. Questions? Yeah, and sorry for the long comments. -- RyRy5 (talk) 15:42, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I know. I looked at the article. I know that I didn't citation it right; I was asking if the site was a good reference (I should have said that). I will get into those soon. Hence the wikicookie. I wanted to know that I understood what a reference website was.--LAAFan 15:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • And I just did this. Keep that diff, LAA. It can be a reminder of what to do. And I will check more thoroughly to see if that ref you added was good. -- RyRy5 (talk) 15:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sorry to keep bugging you. Before I continue adding references, is the 2nd one I put on good? I believe I put the reference in the way you're supposed to, but I would like to check before moving forward. Thanks for the example, by the way--LAAFan 15:55, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Looks good to me. Good job. ;) -- RyRy5 (talk) 15:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK reviews

You don't need my permission to review a hook. If you do it and someone complains, then I guess you will have a problem. Gatoclass (talk) 18:39, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably a good way to help restore some of the trust and faith that you lost with the whole copying issues. Royalbroil 21:28, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Royal Broil. I did create Pete Smith (baseball) that I nominated. I think it's a good start and I know I didn't copy it from anywhere. So yes, I will probably start reviewing some articles there. But I just want to read over the criteria a few times. --RyRy5 (talk) 21:31, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I commented on Smith's nom. I think the hook is quite ordinary and not interesting enough. Royalbroil 21:48, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Replied. --RyRy5 (talk) 21:50, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good.   jj137 (talk) 02:48, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if that was a bit vague... sometimes I have very little time on here and don't always have time to do in-depth looks at things :(   jj137 (talk) 02:58, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your assistance is needed

Im designing a special award for our newly formed Janet Jackson wikiproject. Its up and running and we are happy with the colour scheme, we were just wondering if you could give it a few finishing touches with your expertise. Hope you can. Cheers. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 06:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the wait, I was snoozing. :P I would try, but I would like specifics of what to do. Thanks, RyRy5 (talk) 22:43, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
