History
Thunderbolt is a Norwegian heavy metal band, combining classical influences (bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween and Black Sabbath) with a more modern and powerful sound (e.g. like Bad Brains and Entombed).
After releasing their demo "Bandits at 6 O'Clock" in 2001 the band received multiple offers for a record contract, and subsequently signed with Face Front / WME (Scandinavia) / Massacre Records (rest of the world) for the release of their 2003 debut "Demons and Diamonds". The album received acclaims from the Norwegian as well as the international music press, and was even greatly appreciated by the mainstream Norewgian press (which is very rare for band within this genre).
