Magnus Volk (October 19, 1851 in Brighton – May 20, 1937 in Brighton) was a British electrical engineer who built Volk's Electric Railway. He was the son of a German clockmaker and lived at 38 Dyke Road in Brighton. The house has now been renumbered to 8 Arundel Road. In 1888, he built an electric car.[1]
Magnus Volk had a son named Conrad who wrote a biography of his father.
Volk is buried at St Wulfran's churchyard in Ovingdean near Brighton.[2]
