Template:Hang on JJS Karatedo is the martial arts training center and a sports program of Jack & Jill School, home of super karate kids in the country. The dojo is located in JJS campus, an institution in Bacolod City. The Karate sports program was established in 1978. JJS Karatedo informally referred to by its acronym JJSKarate adapts in Shotokan and Wado-ryu fighting system. The campus is located in Homesite, 5 kilometers East from the heart of Bacolod City, the capital of Negros Occidental province in the Philippines. It is one of the few institution in the country where Karate is part of school curriculum, Karate is included in physical education class for the whole year round.
History
The school was founded in 1963 when Mrs. Cecilia Del Castillo-Lopez started teaching about 23 boys and girls in the living room of her home in PHHC,Bacolod City. This was the first kindergarten class and the birth of Jack & Jill School. In 1978 Mrs. Lopez established a karate sports program for grades 4-6 pupils in preparation for NOPSSCEA playground demonstration and for the next school year the school administrators formally include the Karate training program in the Physical Education class for all elementary pupils as a whole year activity.[1].[2] [3] [4] [5].

Karate is part of its curriculum wherein pupils from Grades 1-6 are encouraged to join the training as part of their physical education (P.E.) activity for the whole year round.
