9-article DYK hook
For some reason

* Union (automobile) - in the article piped as "Union cars"
* Lambert (automobile) - in the article piped as "Lambert cars"

did not receive the usual banner from DYKBot on its talk page along with the other articles of a 9-article DYK hook presented at the same time.

BOT probaby got confused because of so many articles. Can you give these two articles the missing banners manually? Thanks! --Doug Coldwell <font color="darkblue">talk</font> 21:01, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Missed article

Jammu (city) for some reason did not receive the usual banner from DYKBot on its talk page along with the other articles presented at the same time. __meco (talk) 10:13, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not receiving any response I have added the banner manually. __meco (talk) 14:13, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:DYKBot

I took the redirect off User talk:DYKBot, so comments will end up on that talk page instead of this one. That should allow you or others to address the bot and preserve a history so that each new poster doesn't think they are the first ones noting a problem and to give an understanding that things are being worked on. -- Suntag 15:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The bots overwriting credits. Please see User talk:DYKBot. Thanks. -- Suntag 18:51, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Undeletion please

I would like to personally lobby for a lift on the current suspension of the deleted article for Jimmy Dore, as it is my belief that he fulfills notability qualifications for an entertainer. At the moment, the creation of such an article is prohibited. Samhuddy (talk) 02:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good to hear from you

Good to hear from you. I have a bot request. The page Template talk:Did you know has a lot of traffic adding and removing that same template. The level 4 headers have an edit button. It is common to press the edit button for one DYK nomination, but to have the edit page open to a different DYK hook. It's annoying. See Section editing shenanigans. Purging the page seems to help, but is tedeous and not everyone knows about it. Is a bot available to purge that page every so often, such 5 minutes or more? I posted the request here, but was informed that pruging only affects a local computer and not the page. Is there anything you can do to help with the problem at Template talk:Did you know. Thanks. -- Suntag 08:29, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Dead-end pages from September 2008, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Dead-end pages from September 2008 has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Dead-end pages from September 2008, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
