The evolutionary reason for sleep remains a mystery. While it's widely known and easily verified that sleep deprivation can cause severe harm finally leading to death in animals, such subjects do not display any physiological damage. Rats deprived of sleep will lose the ability to regulate their body temperatures, dying after about three weeks. In humans, sleep deprivation impairs the thought-processes and lowers their immune system. Why this happens is unclear.

Having read some of her stuff, and also studied philosophy during the course of my degrees, I agree with your assessment of her material. As for the state of the article: my opinion is that the least said the better. I am trying to remain neutral, and would be extremely happy if someone else took over the protecting, etc role here, so I could now walk away from it. I may still just walk away, as I have better things to do with my time on wikiepdia. Nietzsche

Hey, great to hear I've bade a good impression on someone! And yes, I look forward to working with you. Like I have said before, the Nietzsche article has been in a sad state for awhile. With some work we may even make it a featured article. Zazaban (talk) 00:30, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

3RR, edit wars, false blocks etc.

I think you should ask User:Kjaer to read WP:OWN. Thanks. --Mark Chung (talk) 08:55, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
