JewishGen is the primary internet resource for Jewish genealogy. It was originally founded in 1987[1] by Susan E. King in Houston, Texas, USA, as a Fidonet bulletin board[1], it later moved to the internet. On January 1, 2003 it became a division of the Museum of Jewish Heritage[2]. The current Managing Director of JewishGen is Warren Blatt.
