Sunny Day Sets Fire

Sunny Day Sets Fire is an indie psychedelic-pop quintet from London. Although formed in London, the members come from different backgrounds such as Hong Kong, Italy, Canada and UK. The band cite their influences as Wizard of Oz, Gummo, The Beatles and Velvet Underground[2].

Their sound has been described as "a wild and volatile flood of gorgeous, exuberant pop"[3]. The single "Lack of view" was featured on the soundtrack of the movie American Teen[4].

On spring 2008, IAMSOUND issued a remix EP featuring remixes from CSS, XXXChange from Spank Rock, The Cool Kids and Mad Decent/Diplo.

Their debut album Summer Palace was released in US in July 2008 by Iamsound Records and in UK by Wonderboat Rec. (February 2009) gaining good reviews from major UK magazines (NME, Uncut, Word, Clash).

"Adrenaline", first single from the album, was named "single of the week" by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6.
