Peter Mengede (born in 1962) is a guitarist from Brisbane, Australia. He is best known for being one of the founding members of the influential band, Helmet.
Peter left Helmet in February 1993, and went on to form the band Handsome. After living in New York City for fifteen years, he moved back to Brisbane in late 2001 where he currently plays in Kunst[1].
