Varudu(Template:Lang-te) is an upcoming Tollywood film due to be released in early 2009. This film will be starring Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Trivikram is directing this film.
The movie which has Mahesh Babu in the lead is directed by Trivikram Srinivas (of Athadu and Jalsa fame).[1]
This movie is titled as Varudu and is being directed by Trivikram Srinivas.Singanamala Ramesh is producing the film. Anushka Shetty will be playing the lead female role. Trivikram Srinivas is currently in the music sittings with Mani Sharma. They will start filming the movie from November 15th. R Sunil Patel, the cinematographer, makes his debut in to the Tollywood film industry. He has previously worked for movies like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, Bachna Ae Haseeno. Mahesh plays the role of a taxi driver in this film, while Anushka Shetty plays the miss universe. Earlier Parvati Melton was roped in place of anushka.
Launch
The film was launched with a pooja ceremony in the office of producer Singanamala Ramesh. The regular shooting of the film is expected to take place either on 22nd or 23rd of March 2009. Anushka is paired up with Mahesh Babu in this movie. There are tremendous expectations and hype on this film as Mahesh Babu is doing a feature film after a gap of 2 years.
