Michael Gilchrist

Survivorman Article

Before you get the wrong impression because of one edit in the mix, I should point out that I am a fan of Les and his show. I am on your side but that doesn't mean that I should ignore stupid edits. Please don't label any edits as opinion when deleting them for not having a reference. Despite all the power and privilege you have as an administrator I'm not afraid of you, I would have considered you a kindred for your continuous improvement of the Survivorman Article, but it appears to me you have let this authority go to your head, so much so that you won't acknowledge the misunderstanding, can't admit your mistake and refuse to see anyone else's perspective beyond the defense of your pride. TradingPartners deletion

Hi - I see that my contribution for a "TradingPartners" article was deleted due to A7. However, I do believe there are sufficient 3rd party references to validate the significance of the entry. I would like to add several references to news sources, but the page is now gone. How do I get it back so I can make additions? Did you even click through to the links?

Please stop deleting the link to my blog, 642Blog.ca. I work hard to publish relevant local content and you'll note there is no advertising or self-promotion on it other than a simple link in my post signature. I don't get an SEO benefit from Wiki links, so it's purely in the interest of informing people about my home town. It's been there for months without issue.

I will leave out the links to my commercial site, TimAyres.ca, even though the one of the pages linked was a map of the town and detailed information about the neighbourhoods in it.

Will you replace the links, or shall I?

You keep deleting my Coal Bin Bros. page, but I don't see what it is that is so inappropriate about it. You have cited that the band needs to be relevant, which it is, as the CBB are on the Spade Kitty Record label which has it's own page, they are also available on iTunes and other legit outlets world-wide, and have pages on allmusic.com. The CBB have also appeared on a professional tribute album to the popular rock band, KISS. You have also mentioned a lack of a neutral perspective, but the only information given is that they are a band from Pennsylvania; I don't try to hide my involvement, I just want to create the page. If that is still unacceptable, I can request that Matt Walters, the CEO of Spade Kitty Records make the page. I'm looking to expand upon the entry in the Spade Kitty Records page to show the 2 albums available and the songs on them. I also believe the Coal Bin Bros. fit under this section of the requirements:

"Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster including several notable performers)."

With 2 albums under a record label that is worthy of inclusion on this website, I would like to make the case that the band itself fits this requirement and deserves a page.Nately120 (talk) 18:12, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I haven't read previous discussions about Occupation listings for contestants of Big Brother. I know that Occupations are shown for other reality television programs, such as Big Brother (see Big Brother 11). Such information may not always be accurate, comprehensive, or up-to-date, but I assume that anyone who reads the article and can provide better data should perform an edit. I am not sure why a policy should ever exist favoring the exclusion of obviously edifying material.
