Characters

Main characters

  • Jason T. Conrad: Michelle's 8 year-old twin brother who is 5 minutes younger. He sometimes argues with is sister but they usually get along just fine. He wears glasses. His best friend is Trevor. Voiced by Mark Martin and Quinn Lord.

  • Michelle Frances Conrad: Jason's 8 year-old twin sister who is 5 minutes older. She wears glasses, but doesn't like to wear them, even though in many episodes, she doesn't complain about them. She has a doll named Miss Pretty Pretty that was given to her as a gift when she was 2 years old. Her best friend is Claire. Voiced by Melissa Peterson and Claire Corlett.

  • Captain Zidgel: Is the main captain of the crew. He one of the most handsome federation penguin of the entire galaxy. In some episodes, he would comb is hair repeatedly and in other episodes when he is onboard the ship, he would be in the bathroom preparing himself. He is has a way of making himself attractive, that is his physique, which makes him much more attractive, along with the voice and smile he has and especially his hair, which he makes as one of his priorities. Elvis Presley impersonator. Voiced by Ron Wells and John Payne.

  • Engineer/First Officer Midgel: The pilot of the Penguin crew. He has an extended knowledge in engineering. He has a native Austrailian accent and is the most shortest of the penguin of the crew. He spends most of the time driving the ship from place to place as ordered by the captain and sometimes (by permission) lets Kevin drive. He is also titled not only as "Engineer" but also as "First Officer", which means he is second in command after the captain. Voiced by Greg Mills and Paul Dobson.

  • Doctor Fidgel: The scientist of the Penguin crew. Many of his inventions are interesting but some can also be useful. Some of his inventions seen are: (Originally Bert Bertman's invention) The Gileezle, The object resizer gun; and The X-51, The Behavior Modifier. He resembles Jason and Michelle's grandpa, Grandmum's husband. His voice can also be significantly noticed between the first season and the second. Fidgel may look old despite the appearance but not as old as when he was seen in one of the episode "Wise Guys" where the feature version is about 86 years old and the younger version is around 40 years to 50 years old. Voiced by Page H. Hearn and Lee Tockar.

  • Kevin: No specific job, although he is a member of the Penguin crew and is always ready to help when requested by the penguins. He is the largest penguin of the entire crew and usually does jobs that involve going outside of the ship. Voiced by Ron Smith and Mike Donovan

Secondary characters

  • Grandmum: Jason and Michelle's British grandmother. She loves making food and other treats for Jason and Michelle. Whenever the kids encounter a problem, she would give and adage and describes to them what it would mean so they could think about it. She lives in a cottage by herself (use to live with her husband, grandpa). Voiced by Ellen Kennedy.

  • Sol: Owner of the Comet Lounge. When he feels that the two kids have an issue, he would quote a verse or two and describes the meaning of it to Jason and Michelle. Voiced by Gary Chalk.

  • Baron Von Cavitus (Bert the Hamster): The Penguins' evil arch-enemy that they have not yet captured yet, so far... Bert the Hamster is a talking hamster that is evil and craves for the Galeezle to make himself large and rule the universe. For now, he is in a metallic armored suit and when Bert is in the suit, he is called Cavitus. Bert doesn't like to be petted or treated as a cute hamster. Voiced by Gary Chalk

  • Admiral Strap: The Penguins' commander. Although he can be heard in some episodes, he is not seen visually. He takes command of the entire federation and the United Federation Mothership.[5] Voiced by Dale Wilson

  • Mr. and Mrs. Conrad: Jason and Michelle's parents. They are only featured in the show, Trouble in Planet Wait-Your-Turn. Voiced by Pamela Thomas (Mrs. Conrad) and Ron Wells (Mr. Conrad).

Transportation: The Rockhopper

General

U.F.P.S. (United Federation Penguin Starship), "The Rockhopper": This is the vessel used to transport Jason and Michelle and the penguins to their many adventures. The ship is reletivly small and when compared to the Cavitus's ship, it is slightly small in most episodes. Sometimes, other episodes shows it to be very small compared to Cavitus's ship. It has a shape similar to a small space pod, however, it is not as small as a traditional space pod. The interior of the ship seem to have a dated-back design (based on its interior apperance).
