One other point - when you tag an article for speedy, you should copy to the author's talk page the warning which is generated for you towards the bottom of the speedy template when it is expanded on the article page. Otherwise he doesn't know what's happened, and probably just puts the article in again. If it is a new author who hasn't had a Welcome paragraph, it's a good idea to add one - firstarticle is a good one - before the speedy warning - it makes it less WP:BITEy, and gives useful links includng WP:Your first article, which may help him do better next time. == I mean come on ==

In all fairness, this tag is incredibly insulting. I've been on Wikipedia for 3½ years, have made nearly 30,000 edits and have created/written nearly 500 original articles. Jrcla2 (talk) 16:25, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Your edits

I've noticed that you seem to be interested in wikipedia's various deletion processes. You might want to read WP:Deletion policy. There are 3 types of deletion, WP:CSD, WP:PROD and WP:AfD, each of which is used differently and for deleting different problems. If you become interested in new page patrolling, you might want to consider using Twinkle. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 02:31, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Talal Maddah albums

Hello Anowlin. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Talal Maddah albums, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A9 doesn't apply - the artist Talal Maddah does have an article. The capitalisation was wrong in the article - I've fixed it - but if an artist's name is mis-capitalised it's worth checking the proper capitalisation.

There is good advice for speedy taggers at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:12, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Upcoming Fifth Taking Back Sunday Album

Hello Anowlin. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Upcoming Fifth Taking Back Sunday Album to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 16:47, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
