Khambhalia is a city and a municipality in Jamnagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the second biggest town after Jamnagar city in the District.

Demographics

Khambhalia has a population of approximately 150,000. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Khambhalia has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 62%. In Khambhalia, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Geography

Khambhalia is a very old city with an old and still damaged partial Kille bandhi. You may find it on your way to famous DWARKA. You also have to go through its way if you are to travel Salaya (Notorious port ages ago).

There are some public places like Aradhna Dham (11 km away on highway to Jamnagar), Ghee dam, Jadeshwar tekri, Khamnath (area in rivers way with some temples), Maa Khodiyar Mandir (Goddess temple). Nagar Gate, Jodhpur Gate, Satvara Choro and Darbar Gadh (Main market) Betk Road, Station road, Char Rasta (four ways) are the main known areas of the town.

Industries

Khambhalia is famous for ghee. Ghee is exported to various town and cities of whole India. Also the brinjals of khambhalia is very famous. There are 35 ground nut factories. This city's second name is 'Buttor City'. Jayant khatri's dabeli is very famous. Industry for Wood Working Machinery is growing very fast.There are many big Companies like essar & Reliance near khambhalia.Its about 35 km. away from the city and also small companies like SHRI NATARAJ CERAMIC& CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD, NRE & Ashapura mine chem Ltd. near khambhalia. Also some famous food/drinks items such as pranam gola center, jalaram lassi, jalaram samosa etc and best Launch and dinner for Milan Hotel and it is near by char Rasta(Four Way) also near by Railway station.

Colleges and Schools

The educational structure has improved through the opening of new schools. It also has a Commerce and Arts College. S.G.S.S Primary and Secondary is very Famous School in Khambhaliya.

There is a big Government hospital.Medical facilities are being increased day by day. Barcha Hospital and Dr.Manharlal c/o Ruteshbhai Manharlal Joshi Clinic is very Populated in Khambhaliya.It's both are Popular by it's treatments and his services, and near by Jodhpur Gate. Shray laboratory is also famous in Jam-Khambhaliya.
