Gordon Raphael is a record producer and musician from Seattle, Washington.

Raphael is a producer best known for his work with The Strokes, producing their first two albums Is This It (which was voted best album of the decade by NME in England, and number 2 best of the decade in USA by Rolling Stone) and Room On Fire. He has also produced The Golden Rule featuring Sarah Maguire, Fake Chemical State for ex-Skunk Anansie lead singer Skin, Fobia, The astounding record "Soviet Kitsch" by Regina Spektor, Kill Kenada, The Moonies, London based math rock band Three Trapped Tigers Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man Swiss rock band The Mondrians, Caroline Taucher, Charly Flynn and The Sound Explosion . He was also the keyboardist for the psychedelic band Sky Cries Mary- starred in the epic dark-wave band called Absinthee with Anna Mercedes and did live sound for The Libertines on their first UK tour. He plays keyboards, guitar, bass and sings as well on his own songs. Raphael admits his favorite instruments are Arp Odyssey, Solina String Ensemble and Stratocasters- often used in combination, immersed in copious amounts of phase-shifted white noise and echo.

Gordon also works alongside master drummer Matt Ingram and Dan Cox at Urchin Studios, in Limehouse, London.

In January 2010, Raphael went to Cape Town, South Africa, to produce SHARK, the debut full length album of South African indie rock band The Plastics. The first single from this record "Jukebox" went to number one there.
