ControlTV
"Control TV," produced by actor Seth Green, Matthew Senrich, and Richard Saperstein documents the life of Tristan Couvares for six weeks, starting October 6, 2010. A real-life version of "The Truman Show," this web show utilizes social media, namely Twitter and Facebook, to comment on events interact with Tristan, and the website www.controltv.com, to allow "controllers" to vote on Tristan's decisions or events in Tristan's life. The show is streamed live 24/7, and short, re-cap episodes are posted the following day. Unlike other reality tv series, this web show focuses on the human interactions and personal growth of Tristan. Life Coach Marni Battista, MA.Ed, CPC, meets with Tristan regularly to give him advice. The project was in development for two years before the producers felt an audience was "sociologically and technologically" prepared for the experiment. Corporate sponsors have also gotten on board with this experiment[6].
