Academics go along with Tennessee State requirements. The curriculum adapts to the needs of the students with both traditional and hands-on instruction. There are also a few Advanced Placement courses to count for college credit. The school provides many Vocational-styled electives that students can take. Electives include, Equestrian, Auto Mechanics, Horticulture, and wood working. In 2009, the school added the Young Marines to the program. These electives may count as credit for both college and career paths.
