He grew up in [[San Diego, California]] where he was involved with the [[hardcore punk]] scene and various [[screamo]] and noise bands which included future members of [[The Locust]] and [[Cattle Decapitation]]. After becoming disillusioned with the music scene, Beahan relocating to Los Angeles in 1998, where he became involved in the fashion world where he began a long career as a fashion stylist, working for several publications from [[Vanity Fair]], [[Esquire]] and [[Dazed & Confused]]. In 2006, he self-financed a record company with a vision of true artist independence and a taste for the [[avant garde]], he created [[Manimal Vinyl]] Records.
