Macushi is spoken by 15,000 Brazilians and 24,600 around the world. 100% of the 9,000 ethnic Macushi Guyanese are fluent, there are 600 speakers in Venezuela. Also known as Makushi, Makusi, Makuxi, Macusi, Macussi, Teweya, Teueia.
