Resende (Portuguese pronunciation: [ʁɛˈzẽd(ɨ)]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 123.4 km² and a total population of 11,978 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 15 parishes and is located in the Viseu District.
The present mayor is António Manuel Borges, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is September 29.
