As much as possible, I wish to let you Wikipedia users know that I'm serious in maintaining the two-way conversations readable policy. If you can't do so, then take it somewhere else. Thanks. Ominae

Orphaned non-free image File:Umibozu commandos.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Umibozu commandos.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Webcite

What does Webcite have to do with ebooks? --Gwern (contribs) 14:43 29 August 2010 (GMT)

That isn't even grammatical, and still doesn't explain what 3rd-party archival of HTTP resources have to do with the production and consumption of TXT/PDF/DJVU/etc. files. --Gwern (contribs) 12:33 9 September 2010 (GMT)
Look. I already said that it acts similarly to Internet Archive, only that it archives websites and such permanently. Unless an admin says that it should be categorized somewhere else, it's there. Ominae (talk) 02:49, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Internet Archive archives all webpages; as it happens, it also runs a number of side-projects essentially unrelated to the archives which happen to fall under the ebook rubric. WebCite runs no such program and is purely a webpage archiver. In what sense does WebCite merit inclusion when Google (which caches many thousands/millions of times more pages) doesn't? --Gwern (contribs) 12:18 10 September 2010 (GMT)
I wish I know on the Google part. If an admin (or someone more knowledgeable on the matter) says that I should move it somewhere else. Then I'll gladly move it somewhere else. Ominae (talk) 22:56, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What do admins have to do with anything? This is about templates, not deleting pages or blocking vandals. --Gwern (contribs) 23:56 10 September 2010 (GMT)
Fine. But I'm still not removing as it can fulfill a role similar to Internet Archive. 23:59, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
As could Firefox, since it can save HTML pages; or Internet Explorer, or wget, or curl... --Gwern (contribs) 00:34 11 September 2010 (GMT)

Autopatrolled

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 15:30, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That rollback

You may have noticed that I accidentally rollbacked your edits. That was a complete accident, which I reverted. That rollback button is easy to hit entirely on accident. 43?9enter (talk) 06:58, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:LR DVD.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:LR DVD.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
