INCLASS
Fire breathers have many things to consider when performing their fine art. Technique, of course is one of the most important concepts; but just as importantly, fire breathers need to make a choice as to what fuel to use for their task. Fuels can vary in ignition temperature (Flash Point), toxicity, thickness of smoke, etc. Ideally, a fire breather should find a fuel that allows for a thrilling showcase, but also safe enough for the performer to use. Fuels with high flash points, such as kerosene and lamp oil, are common choices for fire breathers because they are safer to use and are less toxic than most fuels, while still providing thick smoke for the viewers.
