Mumbai Mirror is a 2013 Indian Hindi film directed by Ankush Bhatt starring Sachiin J Joshi, Prakash Raj, Gihana Khan, Vimala Raman, Aditya Pancholi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Raja Bherwani and Prashant Narayanan. The movie exposes the nexus between powerful, corrupt dance bar owners and the Mumbai police. Mumbai Mirror released on 18 January 2013.

Casting

After his debut in Aazaan, Sachiin J Joshi plays a quirky cop in this realistic commercial potboiler.[2][3] Mallika Sherawat who agreed to play the lead opposite Sachiin J Joshi, has walked out of the project.[4] Sachiin J Joshi also made an allegation in Press about Mallika Sherawat being unprofessional.[5] Later 6 feet tall Gihana khan was chosen as female lead.[6] Earlier it was reported that Nana Patekar was approached to play the main villain, but Prakash Raj has been signed on for the pivotal role.[7][8]

Soundtrack

The soundtrack of Mumbai Mirror is composed by Amjad Nadeem and the album contains six tracks. Musicperk.com rated the album 6.5/10 quoting "Average album. Definitely not one of the best". [9]

Critical Response

Bollywood portal Films of India said, "Mumbai Mirror is definitely watchable for its great script and superb performances. It's 3.5/5 for Mumbai Mirror for investigating a decaying law enforcement system pushed to bask in the silent approval of its questionable ways.""Mumbai Mirror Film Review". Shivesh Kumar of IndiaWeekly awarded the movie 2 out of 5 stars.[10]
