No, it's not just because I like the graphic.

For the record

I think Category:Living people is a lousy idea. There is no way for this to be helpful to anyone. I think it's a lousy idea for King Jimbo to unilaterally decree that it will stay by blanking the CFD. You want to talk about what wiki is about? Or make unilateral decrees? One question: When will KJ decree that Category:Wikipedia articles is a good idea and don't even think about deleting it? Anyway, that's just my opinion, it needs no response. I put it here instead of where this is actually being discussed because it doesn't matter. Jimbo is god and his word is final.

I'm an admin

I'm also human. Sometimes I make mistakes. If you have a problem with something I've done, do me a favor and talk to me about it. And when I say talk, I mean talk. I understand you may be upset, but saying I'm abusive, or a vandal, or yelling at me just might be the wrong way to resolve the situation. Thanks.

Oh, and you can email me for admin-related stuff, but know that I don't check my email that often, so it may be awhile before you get a response. If possible, just let me know via my talk page.

Deletionist?

When I sit down at a restaurant and order a steak, sometimes it comes with fat on it. Personally, I don't like eating the fat, so I cut it off and leave it on the plate. That's how I look at my delete votes. I'm keeping the steak and leaving the fat.

It's an encyclopedia, not an experiment in democracy.

Remember that.

I absolutely suck at writing stuff. I've tried, believe me. I'll try and add things to articles I know something about, but seriously, I'm not a good writer. Yeah, I know, I can let others copyedit it and wikify it, but I don't see the point of me spending my time writing garbage just to have someone else write it right. So I spend my time making sure the place runs well, because let's be honest, I could spend all day writing thoughtful, insightful articles (that is, if I could, which I can't, but stick with me here), just to have some yutz come right behind me and vandalize the whole mess. Besides, I don't mind doing that. I contribute in my own little way.

I've been to some people's user page and saw huge lists of articles they've contributed to. You won't see that here. Not because I don't have anything to list, it's just that I (and you) can check my "user contributions". I'd rather use this area for other things, like, say, telling you about me (and pretending someone cares).
