Nalini Joshi is an Australian mathematician.

Joshi is an Australian Laureate Fellow and professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney. She is the first woman to hold either position in the School[1]), and is a past-president of the Australian Mathematical Society.[2] Joshi is a member of the School's Applied Mathematics Research Group.

Joshi completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney, receiving a Bachelor of Science with honours in applied mathematics. She holds a Master of Arts and PhD from Princeton University in applied mathematics.[3] She completed her PhD in 1987 under the supervision of Martin David Kruskal.[4]
