Edoardo Cicorini (born 7 August 1967), better known as Edoardo Costa, is an Italian fashion model, actor, and entrepreneur. Costa begin his career in the fashion industry as a model in the early 1990s for the agency Why Not. Desiring something more, he began studying acting in Paris, Milan, and Los Angeles. Costa soon made television appearances on various American television series including Baywatch, Arliss, and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Costa also made a variety of independent American films leading to his debut in a first major feature as Thomas Gabriel's henchman Emerson in Live Free or Die Hard starring Bruce Willis.[1] His debut major role in an American film was in the soon to be released drama about a Kiddie Ride called Down the shore alongside James Gandolfini and Famke Janssen. Costa has made forays into theater by acting in the plays Bread Love Fantasy and Very Old Man, alongside Marcello Mastroianni (Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita). Costa has worked on numerous Italian soap operas, television series, films, and reality shows throughout his career.

Early life

Costa was born in Varese. His father, Pietro, was a transport business owner, and his mother, Rosangela, worked at the local electric company. He has a younger sister, Monica. Costa attended Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore where he studied philosophy. Costa served his military service as a Carabinieri[2] in the mid-1980s. It was during this that Costa was discovered in a local Milanese restaurant bar by a modeling scout.

Religion

Costa began an exploration of Buddhism through longtime friend Solange which led to a memorable encounter with the Il Mago Otelma. Costa states that he chants regularly and says that it his religion which keeps him in tune spiritually in the competitive businesses and excessive lifestyles of the entertainment and fashion industries.
