In 1982 Babayev graduated the high school in [[Kursk]]. He is a graduate of the Higher Military-Political College in [[Minsk]] (1986). In 1986-1996 he served in the army. Babayev is Chairman of JSC [[Kremenchukm'yaso]] since 1998. In 2000 he also graduated the [[Kiev University]]. Since 2005 Babayev is the President of [[FC Vorskla Poltava]], while he is also an honorary president of [[FC Kremin Kremenchuk]] (lower leagues). He was elected into the [[Ukrainian Parliament]] in the [[Ukrainian parliamentary election, 2007|last Ukrainian parliamentary election]]. Oleh Babayev

Oleh Meydanovych Babayev (Ukrainian: Олег Мейданович Бабаєв; (October 21, 1965 — July 26, 2014) was a Ukrainian politician of Azerbaijani descent,[1][2][3] an owner of two professional football clubs in the Poltava Oblast,[4] in 2010 Babayev was elected Mayor of Kremenchuk.[1] Master of Sports (judo).

Born in 1965 in Kursk, Russian SFSR[1], in 1982 Babayev graduated the high school in Kursk. He is a graduate of the Higher Military-Political College in Minsk (1986). In 1986-1996 he served in the army. Babayev is Chairman of JSC Kremenchukm'yaso since 1998. In 2000 he also graduated the Kiev University. Since 2005 Babayev is the President of FC Vorskla Poltava, while he is also an honorary president of FC Kremin Kremenchuk (lower leagues). He was elected into the Ukrainian Parliament in the last Ukrainian parliamentary election. Babayev was a member of All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland"; he left the party after being elected Mayor of Kremenchuk (with 42,34% of the votes) late 2010 because he felt that "The mayor should be apolitical".[5]
