Fall of [[Sunzhensky]] fortress led to some strengthening of position of Persia. Shah has increased the pressure on the Highlanders, and in 1658 announced the construction on lands of [[Kumyk]] two fortresses. This provoked a sharp protest mountaineers who rebelled.
