Sadie Kaye (2012)

Sadie Kaye is a British actress, author, filmmaker, TV and radio presenter. She is known in her native Hong Kong as the radio personality "Miss Adventure".[1]

Education

Kaye was born and raised in Sai Kung, Hong Kong.[2] She was educated at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University, graduating with a Master of the Arts degree in 1998.[3]

Early TV career

After working as a children's TV presenter in Hong Kong (she presented "Beezewacks" on TVB and a comedy slot on Hong Kong's Metro Radio)[4], Kaye moved to London following university. She created Dinner Party, an interactive TV series,[5] for ETV in London. "Dinner Party" was commended for "Best Use of New Media" (2002) at the UK Broadcast Awards.[6]

Documentaries

Kaye produced and presented the 2010 documentary film Sailing Miss Sadie.[7] In 2011 she produced and presented the TV documentary, "Tucker's Luck".[8] In 2015 she produced and presented a documentary about bipolar disorder for Radio Television Hong Kong: "The Bipolar Express" in 2015.[9]

Publications

Her children's book, "The Wishing Machine" was published October 31, 2014 by Austin Macauley Publishers.[10]

Filmography

Kaye plays 'Wanda' in West of Thunder, a Western film produced by Sunka Wakan Dragonfly Film Studios.[11] "West of Thunder" won "Best Film on Human Rights" and "Best Film on Peace" of 2012 from the Political Film Society in Hollywood, Jan. 2013 [12](asterix marks winners).[13]

Current career

In 2012 she played "Miss Adventure" in a broadcast comedy pilot for HBO's "Funny or Die".[14]. Since 2013 she has performed as the Radio Television Hong Kong radio personality "Miss Adventure" with regular shows broadcast on RTHK Radio 3. [15]
