== If Nyon was sold to France in the 1559 then John Calvin wasn't born in France ==

Why is John Calvin even described as French?

- NOT even born in France at the time.

- mayhap more influenced by the (nearby to Nyon) English College Douai/Doway in Flanders than whatever was officially France at the time.

- Spent more of his life in Switzerland.

- mayhap spoke better Latin and more often so than French.

- at best could be described as something life 'French-speaking'
