The Pale of Calais was in Flanders NOT France...

therefore,

England lost it's (last) territory in Flanders...

or somesuch, without a shadow,

NOT:

"England lost its last territory in France"

Yet again folks, British history seeing Flanders/the Benelux/Picardy and even 'English Flanders' through 'French eyes'. Si-fucking-gh.

The county of Flanders was a French fief in the 15th century. Blaue Max (talk) 19:55, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sneaky sentence trys to makes out Picardy was annexed by France earlier than it was...

It seems to read as if France annexed Picardy in 1477 but the word "and" sends warning signals that Picardy was not annexed in 1477 but likely later. I think it is the French nationalists at it again, spiking English language wikis. Anyway, both claims in the hereinbelow need citations...

"The victory of Louis XI of France over Charles the Bold in 1477 and the annexation of Picardy"

Picardy was annexed by France in 1477, per source[1]. Blaue Max (talk) 19:59, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Where does it say the French annexation of Picardy took place in 1477? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.69.57.38 (talk) 20:08, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
