Well, Sagaciousphil, when I'm doing admin-related tasks, I usually don't stop to reply to user talk page messages. And since you asked for diffs, here are a few I found in about 10 minutes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. These are examples of what I'm referring to although sometimes I am mentioned elsewhere in the conversation and you refer to me or my RfA but not by name. But it's clear that you are talking about me. <br>
I know I can't change your mind about me but I just ask that when you feel that impulse to say something negative about me, please resist it. And, of course, I will do likewise. Let's focus on improving Wikipedia. I appreciate the contributions of all editors, even ones that seemingly can't stand me. <font face="Papyrus" size="3" color="#800080">Liz</font> <font face="Times New Roman" color="#006400">Read! Talk!</font> 21:26, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Huuu

Venus Rising From the Sea (Raphaelle Peale)
 • That surely is a weird painting, Hafs! Did you notice that Raphaelle apparently painted it as a response to his father writing: "... we should guard against familiarizing our citizens to sights which may excite a blush in the most modest."? SagaciousPhil - Chat 11:40, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's still interesting, no? We could write article....! Called : Venus Rising From the Sea (Peale) or so. Hafspajen (talk) 15:36, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alerts

t Feel to remove this, but since I had it typed out anyway I figured you might glean some value from it. The alerts I placed weren't actually dupes - they're related to two different cases with similar but different scopes. I placed them there because to me, the person continuing to hijack a discussion in a way that makes discussion of RO's actions hard-to-impossible to conduct on ANI is of greater concern than the person who first mentioned gender. I want there to be a legitimate discussion of RO's actions, but some of Cassianto's continuing comments make that difficult. Frankly, given some of the emails I've received from women today, even though I initially objected to the rationale behind Ched's block because blocking someone in the middle of an ANI thread without a solid rationale where they aren't being a continually disruptive is not best practice, I've been tempted to block RO myself under the template (I'd have to look up its name at this hour) where an individual admin makes a block based on confidential information (and takes responsibility for it) and then forwards on the evidence to arbcom for review (which arbcom may or may not uphold, and may whack the blocking admin for if they find it out of line, but is necessary when a block is performed based on confidential information that cannot be generally shared.) Kevin Gorman (talk) 11:26, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

 • Kevin, I'm afraid I still feel you have picked on Cassianto while neglecting to take any action against the female editor, who has continued to bang the drum re: male v female and cast aspersions against other editors; her argumentative posturing attitude was the prime factor in my decision to remove myself entirely from commenting further in that AN/I thread. I suppose I will just have to wait to see if you "put your money where your mouth is" - to be clear: that's a common term in the UK meaning whether you follow through with your stated course of action, i.e. block RO yourself in light of all the emails you have received, and not in anyway a derogatory phrase. SagaciousPhil - Chat 16:08, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
 • At the time I placed the alerts, Cassianto was hijacking the portion of the thread where people were trying to reboot to discuss about the actual behavioral issues involved with continued commentary that, er, didn't benefit the thread's ability to restart in a more productive direction (I haven't looked at the thread yet today.) I'd prefer not to take unilateral action if the thread is actually heading somewhere, but if it's not, am certainly considering it all things involved. Although it may have happened since (like I said, I have yet to look at it today,) he was the only person continuing that area of conversation past the point at which 28 had undone the middle-of-thread block (which is an atypical thing to do without providing explanation, or at least stating that you will be providing explanation to arbcom forthwith.) In the areas past that point where people had tried to reset the thread to be about the behavioral issues involved, stopping others from being able to discuss the actual behavioral issues by continuing the earlier line of discussion about the block and gendered standards is... unfortunate. Kevin Gorman (talk) 20:08, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
 • Kevin, thank you for taking the time to reply but I disagree that Cassianto was the one "hijacking" the thread. I do hope once you manage to read the AN/I thread as it has progressed you will note that many experienced, established editors are reluctant and/or refusing to participate further - as I've already mentioned this includes myself - despite having strong opinions that RO should receive a significant block or an outright ban. As you state you've received emails from several people confirming RO's unacceptable behaviour, it really should be a straightforward matter for you to re-instate her block. I have not emailed you in case that is something others might speculate about. SagaciousPhil - Chat 20:49, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
 • Partially because a family member is in surgery at the moment (they'll be fine, just a shattered clavicle) and partially because I'm waiting on replies to several emails myself, I'm holding off on action until any action I take is taken with as full knowledge as I can reasonably obtain. What I was referring to in my last post is well demonstrated by OIDDE and Cassianto under the "arbitration" headng. And yeah, if anyone is wondering, I don't think Phil and I have ever communicated off-wiki. Kevin Gorman (talk) 21:06, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Here is my response

Well, Sagaciousphil, when I'm doing admin-related tasks, I usually don't stop to reply to user talk page messages. And since you asked for diffs, here are a few I found in about 10 minutes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. These are examples of what I'm referring to although sometimes I am mentioned elsewhere in the conversation and you refer to me or my RfA but not by name. But it's clear that you are talking about me.
I know I can't change your mind about me but I just ask that when you feel that impulse to say something negative about me, please resist it. And, of course, I will do likewise.
