Just thought I'd chime in as a fellow Louisiana college sports fan. Have you considered working on [[Kenneth Dixon (American football)|Kenneth Dixon]]'s article? I feel that his career achievements fly way under the radar and he deserves some attention. Sure, LA Tech may not play in the toughest conference but if what he did was so easy lots of players would be doing it. I'd do some work on it myself but even LSU has a ton of work that needs to be done on various articles. == Removing The R3 Info ==

Allison: why do you insist on removing the current Carneigie classification information from the ltu page? It was certainly included when the classification was R2......so why do you feel the need to delete it, not that it has dropped to R3? Is the classifaction less important now that it is lower? Please justify why you continuesly edit that info out.

Also, what is your affiliation with ltu? You seem to have an extremely biased view towards the school, which is reflected in your edits, etc., and which is in direct conflict with Wikipedia editing P & P.

Thanks!

Tyler and more

Thanks for starting the article about Tyler.

I see you are interested in La Tech. As you know, they have an incredible history in the world of women's basketball, one that needs more coverage in Wikipedia. If you have any interest in working on it, I'll promise to help.

Please check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Basketball/Women's basketball, we are small, and could use more help, but there are a few resources there that might be of use to you.--S Philbrick(Talk) 22:39, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Nice job with the WikiProject. I focus my efforts mainly on Louisiana Tech and C-USA. I also created the WKU Lady Topper page. I'll continue to contribute to the Lady Techsters and other C-USA teams like Old Dominion. I can create the Rick Insell article for Middle Tennessee. -AllisonFoley (talk) 05:44, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the offer re Rick Insell. We are missing a lot of coaches, but a few fall into the "I can't believe we don't have an article on..." and this is one.--S Philbrick(Talk) 16:31, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Joe Aillet Stadium

Hello AllisonFoley! I am editing and expanding the page on Joe Aillet Stadium. It will undergo a few more changes to the history and features sections before I'm done. I will try to be more active with the Louisiana Tech Wikipedia pages going forward. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arkansas3544 (talkcontribs) 21:45, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Great job! AllisonFoley (talk) 22:02, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I had no idea what C-USA was going to do, your edit led me to a couple of discoveries. Colorado College is moving to the Mountain West (I live about 2 miles north of USAFA and MWC office and didn't know this) and C-USA will drop women's soccer divisions to leave football as the only divisional sport. I dropped the division split on my C-USA members table and updated only the C-USA football section to show 2014 division alignment. Will UAB move to the west in 2015 with Charlotte joining the east? Msjraz64 (talk) 17:40, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! The simplified, standardized conference membership tables are excellent! There has been no announcement regarding divisions for 2015, but my assumption is that UAB will move west then. -AllisonFoley (talk) 08:34, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Allison

AF:

From your perspective as a Louisiana CFB fan, is the "Louisiana–Monroe–Northwestern State football rivalry" a legitimate traditional CFB rivalry? We are contemplating an AfD purge of a number of CFB rivalry articles, and this was mentioned as one of the potential candidates. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 01:41, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, and neither is the Louisiana Tech-Louisiana-Monroe "rivalry." The Tech-ULM article uses sources that only cite untrue speculation. Both may have seemed like a rivalry to ULM because they didn't really have a rival, but neither Tech nor Northwestern State ever considered NLU (ULM) a rival. Both articles should be deleted. Historically, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State were huge rivals, and nothing else compared. The Tech and NSU rivalry was a week long event with a court presentation, traveling flag to the winner, parade, and more. Tech and NSU were each other's only true rivals until Tech transitioned up to Division I-A. At that time, NLU (ULM) replaced Tech in the State Fair Game to play NSU, and that game died soon after because Northwestern and NLU was not a rivalry. -AllisonFoley (talk) 02:26, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please ping me by email with your thoughts on these and other CFB "rivalries" that you question as being legitimately notable per WP:NRIVALRY and WP:GNG. I am compiling a list for a potential AfD purge of such rivalries that do not satisfy GNG. There are several Division I schools that now have 5, 6 or more "rivalries." The bush needs pruning. Thanks. What's your email address? -AllisonFoley (talk) 02:50, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I hate to post it on wiki, for obvious reasons, but you can use the link "Email this user" under the "Tools" sub-menu on the lefthand side of my User page. I'll respond in the clear, and you'll have my email address for future use. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 03:05, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AF, I nominated two "rivalry" games for deletion:

This could be the beginning of several. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:16, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Next round of proposed CFB "rivalry" articles for AfD review

A Big Sun Belt mess!

Hey, I found this last night. Apparently some one started a list of Sun Belt Conference championships, using the SEC article as a template, and then walked away midway through the project. At the very least, all of the SEC stuff needs to be deleted from the article -- I thought you might be interested, given the Louisiana Tech connection. Regards, Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 11:54, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your input is requested . . . .

Allison, I'd like to get your opinion on this revised infobox template for college football players: [1]. After determining what data points to include, we'll recruit a template editor to handle the coding for us. Once we determine what fields we're adding and what we're deleting, then we'll work on the modified graphics. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 05:15, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Techsters colors

Do the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters basketball team have different colors than the rest of the Athletic Dept.? According to this & this, the colors are #E31B23 & #002F8B. The colors you've posted are just the alternate colors whereas the ones I updated are the "official" colors. Please explain... Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 06:10, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Lady Techsters colors have always been Columbia blue. Until a little over a decade ago, each Louisiana Tech team chose what color blue to use. Blues ranged from navy to columbia blue, and for some teams, it changed year to year. In the early 2000s, the university standardized its blue and pushed the standardized blue as the primary color. However, the university let only the Lady Techsters basketball team keep their traditional columbia blue because of the historical significance as part of their national brand. That's why all the Tech teams wear the standardized blue, but only the Lady Techsters basketball program still uses columbia blue and their famous script logo. -AllisonFoley (talk) 06:18, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you for explaining. I know now. I will replace the .gif logo with a png logo to make it look better, though. And when you go and revert an edit like you did here, make sure it is the correct hex code. Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 06:33, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conference basketball season pages

Hey, I saw you have been actively editing a college basketball conference season page, so please see this discussion here so we can get a consensus of editors. While this discussion is specifically on the SEC page, it concerns all conferences' pages. Jhn31 (talk) 22:40, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
