Removing death date/place fields for active players

What say you of this, in response to this? I won't remove them en masse, but I'm gonna start doing this for active players that are frequent targets for vandalism. Having them is just asking for trouble, especially when the chance of them actually being used for their intended purpose anytime soon is so small. Lizard (talk) 01:14, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

Not a huge fan. If they're going to vandalize, it isn't the blank death date that's drawn them to do it. They'll just vandalize some other way. Keeping these reminds us to search for information many years down the line when it becomes probable some of these players have passed. ~ Rob₁₃^Talk 07:48, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

The LeBaron vandal

I hope there's something we can do about this guy, because it's getting silly. You may recall this IP, the one from this and this discussion. Ever since his block, he's been returning with a dynamic IP and wreaking much of the same havoc.[1][2][3][4]. Is there anything we can do about this? Or is blocking futile on an IP hopper? I will look into this, but likely not for a couple weeks, unfortunately. I'm on a tiny little laptop while I'm out-of-town, and without my regular setup and a mouse, it's hard to go through a bunch of tabs and contributions. ~ Rob₁₃^Talk 01:11, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
