Template:Sharksportal The northern sawtail catshark, Galeus sp. B, is an undescribed cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found only from northeast Australia off the coast of Queensland, at depths of between 310 and 420 m. Its length is at least 41 cm.

The northern sawtail catshark is a rare, little-known bottom-dwelling catshark found on the continental slopes. There is a distinct crest of enlarged dermal denticles along the upper and lower margins of the elongated tail.

Coloration is 10 to 16 pale-edged dark saddle markings on the body and precaudal tail, but without dark markings on the terminal and hypural caudal fin lobes. The underside is pale. Dorsal fins are dusky with pale trailing edges.
