War of the Worlds is an upcoming television series produced by Fox and Studio Canal. The series will be written by Howard Overman, and directed by Gilles Coulier and Richard Clark. War of the Worlds is set to consist of eight episodes.
Premise
The series will take place in present day Europe, similar to Steven Spielberg's 2005 movie, but will be a re-imagining of the classic H.G. Wells' novel.[1]

Production
Development
War of the Worlds is produced by Fox and Studio Canal.[2][3] Gilles Coulier and Richard Clark will each be directing four episodes of the series.[4] The series will be written by Howard Overman.[4]
