Mainz-Kastel is a district of the city of Wiesbaden, Germany. Mainz-Kastel was formerly Kastel, a district of Mainz, until its incorporation into Wiesbaden on August 10, 1945. Mainz-Kastel faces the city of Mainz on the opposite shore of the Rhine river, and connects Wiesbaden with downtown Mainz with a bridge. Adolphus Busch, founder of Anheuser-Busch, was born in Kastel (now Mainz-Kastel) in 1839.
