Hello, I am not convinced that this band is notable. Please don't take this personally. I will open a deletion discussion and we'll see what other people think. I might be wrong. In the meantime, you might like to add some of these 'notable' sources to the article. Best wishes, MSGJ (talk) 13:07, 3 July 2008 (UTC) |

== RE: Mellotron Heart == |

Even though it is not on the album, I hear that it is an alternative version of "Porcelain Heart". Also, the album artwork for the single is very similar to that of Watershed's album artwork, evidence that Porcelain Heart and Watershed have at least somewhat of a connection other than just "being by the same artist/band". I would say that it is worth mentioning on the Watershed article and that it is notable enough for a wikipedia article. Even if it didn't have a connection to Watershed and was released as an isolated piece of music by Opeth, I would still believe that it would be notable enough for wikipedia. That is just my opinion, though. Thanks for the interest. :About it being on the radio, Opeth never appears on the radio in the nation I am from, which is the USA (not that I know of at least). I don't know where your from or if your nation has Opeth on the radio, so I won't go into detail about that aspect. It is a downloadable single, and that is how it has been mainly distributed, and that probably wouldn't hamper its notability on my first impression. If you want several more opinions on this issue, then maybe bring it up on some of the wikiprojects, such as WP:METAL, WP:MUSIC, Wikipedia:WikiProject Rock music, or any others that would be suitable. ::Your suggestion to merge is a good suggestion. I can agree with it, considering the aspect of the Mellotron Heart article being somewhat small. Here's the deal, then. I'm going to put a merge tag on the Mellotron Heart page and the Porcelain Heart page and then I plan to bring this up in several discussion places; fell free to bring it up for discussion in places if you want to. The decision to merge it seems like a decision that should be reached by consensus before it happens, if it does happen. Thanks.
