Bounty is a British car brand.[1]

Company history

[edit]

Mel Hubbard founded Manxbuggies in Dartford, Kent in 1999. He started producing automobiles and kits. The brand names include: Bounty and Manx. He later moved to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. In 2003 East Coast Manx from Uppingham in Rutland continued production under the direction of Rob Kilham. In 2007 he moved to King's Lynn in Norfolk. A total of around eight copies have been created so far.[1]

Vehicles

[edit]

The only model is the Hunter. This VW buggy is based on a design by Brian Dries that was produced in California between 1969 and 1971. The basis is the chassis of the VW Beetle, which is shortened by 37 cm.
