Kurmi caste is found in the region of Awadh,eastern up and Bihar and they are well educated caste and also one of the largest landholders after Brahmins and Rajuts.

Kurmi are known for their hardwork there is a good day in the region of awadh"baki sabhi jaat ke bacche gussate hai to idhar udhar bhagte hai aur kurmi ke bache khet me jate hai kisani karte hai"

Kurmi fall under upper caste. Which is totally true.

The per capita assets in bihar topped by kurmis.

The largest landholders after bhumihar in bihar is kurmi.

In the region of awadh and east up the kurmi are one of the largest landholders after Rajput and Brahmins.

The kurmi are totally different from kudmi of jharkhand and chattisgarh. They are totally different from kurmi.

Scindia, gaekwads and chatrapati shivaji are known to be the kurmi kings
